Or at least that is how I think the saying goes. Today Amanda and I take possession of our new house. I'm happy, I'm scare, and I’m every emotion bundled into one. This is a huge step for both Amanda and me. From this point on either we can prosper or we can fall flat on our faces. I have high hopes for us. I think this house is a step in the right direction for our relationship. Also, it was time to move out of my parent’s basement. I mean I’m 24, and my parents have never given me any rules or busted my chops about anything. I think that I need to move out even for my own personal growth, so I can discover even more about myself, and maybe if Amanda has her way maybe I’ll even grow up a little too. I’m here at work writing this post and I’m thinking about all the great times I’ve had in my parent’s basement. Inventing the “Old Dirty Bastard” drink with Redrix and Reed, building multiple potato guns and then almost blowing out the whole sliding basement door with one (LOL). All the fires we made in the back garage so we could take pictures of them. I think about all the times I’ve hung out with so many friends and some new people in the basement, and even some people that I never want to hang out; or see; with again (Mike Brown). All these memories flooding back to me give me a heavy heart. Although I can feel myself getting one of those half smiles thinking about all the new memories Amanda and I will make at our new house. Friends coming over, BBQ’s, the reptile business really taking off, and most importantly starting a real life with the woman I love. I can only really think of positives about this house. Well, actually having some financial responsibility won’t be a favorite of mine but again it’s something I need to help me grow up. With these new responsiblitiles I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to get another job so I put in an application to Lowe’s to see if I can get back on there part time. So if that happens I’ll have three jobs technically, Wells Fargo, C & C Mowing, and then Lowe’s. Well only time will tell if Lowe’s will dial me up *fingers crossed*.
Also, I wanted to say a very big “THANK YOU” to Redrix, DJ, and Amanda for making my (Amanda’s and mine if you want to get technical) birthday dinner great. I had a great time with three of my best friends (Amanda is included in this number). It was so nice to eat dinner out with the love of my life and my friends since that doesn’t get to happen all that often. The presents Redrix got Amanda and I are awesome and much appreciated.
Take Care, Chris

Well, I just wanted to post and wish everybody a Happy (and safe!) Thanksgiving.
Amanda and I are going up to South Dakota for Turkey day; her parents are amazing cooks; and I hope we can stay up there at least until Saturday. But those damn animals of ours think they need food and water so we will have to see.
Took Brew; our new chocolate lab pup; to the vet today because late Sunday night I stepped on it's front right paw, not sure what really happened I was going to turn the water off and he went between my feet. Well he has a small fracture of one of his toes so he is now in a splint for 4-6 weeks, so this will be fun.
Hopefully I'll come back home and have a nice and easy job awaiting me. Thank you to Mr. Watson for putting in some kind words I was able to easily (knock on wood) get a tech job that pays pretty damn well.
We've been selling a decent number of reptiles lately and we need to sell some more animals, I just need better lighting to take some damn nice pictures.
Alright then, everyone have a great Turkey day!

This Saturday Amanda and I go pick out and pick up our new
puppy (Chocolate Lab). Here is the link to Ruth's page; she is where we are
getting the puppy from: http://www.s89655247.onlinehome.us/litter.html.
Spent Thursday night through Monday afternoon in South Dakota it was a nice get away.
We did way to much driving this weekend though; over 27 hours. Amanda and
I went up on Thursday, on Friday we drove an hour back towards Sioux Falls to Baltic to
her brother Jay's house so we could go road hunting for pheasants. Jay
shot three birds but we only retrieved one. If Jay only listened to
Amanda and brought Buddy; his gold retriever; along we would have went home
with three birds. That night at about 9:30 pm we left to go to Minnesota with Amanda's
mom who meant us in Baltic after she got off work. We made it to Albert Lea and stopped
for the night in a shitty Holiday Inn Express; the one in Yankton is so much nicer.
That morning we went to Ruth's house to see the puppies, we brought along two
pheasant wings from the bird we got the night before to see if any of the
puppies had any interest in them. There was one puppy that went ape shit
over them, ran up grabbed them and took off running like mad, and in a back
yard full of obstacles it can be a total pain in the ass to catch a puppy.
If anyone went to the website it was "purple boy", personally I want
blue or black boy but I won't get my hopes up for either of them. We have
fourth pick of the litter, so this Saturday we will find out probably spend
majority of the day in Rochester
hanging out. Some guy is flying in from Cali to get a puppy, damn. Then I got
conned into going to the Mall of America, I just feel that there is
something wrong about a mall that has multiple of the same stores. Don't
we have better things to do with our time and money? But on that note it
is a pretty cool place. Sorry I just was
thinking about that when I walked for what seemed to be a mile around one floor
of the mall and stood outside the MAC make-up store while Amanda and Ny
shopped. Also the Tiger Sushi restaurant was a total let down, over
priced and not worth my time or yours. We made it back to Amanda's house
at about 1:30 am Sunday and started drinking and went to bed. We then got
packed up and went hunting with Jay again on Sunday, again shot three birds but
this time brought home two. He was being an asshole which kind of killed
the night. Also leaving at night to notice that my headlight was out in
my car and one of my rear lights was out I just decided to stay at Amanda's
house again.
So we have two weeks of mowing left, damn three years went by fast. I
hope we get the contract back again to mow; there are a lot of things I would
change if I could do it all over again. One of the main things is that I
would learn to drive the trailer, so I wouldn't have to wait on anyone to go
mow. Well either way I have my resume done and it looks damn nice and
there aren't any lies in it so I hope it will land me an IT job. I want
to go back to school though either for ITNA or Biotech. Time will
tell. I need to get the webpage all done which means I need to get
pictures taken. Amanda and I made some decent cash with "Paragon Reptiles"; this is our
reptile business name. I can't wait to do more shows with Amanda next
year. Everyone that knows Amanda knows how shy she can be but at these
shows she is so talkative and handles almost everything her self, it is truly a
beautiful sight. And she enjoys it too and that is what matters to
me. House, well we need to move out we have been looking and
looking. My dad was just going to buy the house and then let me
"rent" it from him. I don't know about this plan anymore.
It will probably depend on what type of job I get, hopefully it will pay
decently and I can get a decent house for Amanda and me.
Either way life is good, I’ve got the girl I love and want to be with and
that is all I can really much ask for. It's time to for me (us) to go
make a life for ourselves.
Wow, long post.

| The Cruise |
[06 Jan 2005|12:17am] |
|
Alright, so tomorrow is our last stop on the cruise. So far we've been to Costa Maya, and Belize. Tomorrow it's Cozumel, I'm going deep sea fishing.
The boat is nice, it's really turbulent to say the least. It's always vibrating (shaking cause of the motors), and swaying back and forth. But hey it's a free cruise.
Tonight at dinner was the last formal night, thank god, I had asparagus soup and then lobster tail with shrimp with mashed potatoes. Actually I had two lobster tails - sorry I had to brag. Veronica (our main server) and Denny (our assistant server) treat us very well - they are awesome.
In Costa Maya we didn't do shit, in fact it's a shit hole. They do have beautiful water, a nice turquoise blue. Not to far from the beach is there reef, so all-in-all not a terrible place.
Belize is different. Belize looks trashy but its a nice community, no one carries guns. Hell the Prime Minister there (who lives right in the community) only has one cop guarding his house and he only has a baton. I went a a jungle hike and cave tubing. To get into the water I got to jump about 10 feet into the water.
Tomorrow in Cozumel I'm going deep sea fishing, something I've always wanted to do. Hopefully I won't get sea sick or anything.
Things I miss:
Amanda, she's the world to me and this separation sucks ass to say the least. I have a 1200 minute calling card and haven't been able to use it. In Costa Maya they had one pay phone it was broke, I went to go try it out and the mexican army guy carrying an automatic assault rifle started yelling at me, so that put an end to that. In Belize they had three pay phones - all I needed was a Belize calling card, which no one could tell me where there was one. Calling her from the boat may become my only option - things bad about this is that it cost $7.95 just to connect and then $7.95 per minute.
God I can't wait to see her on Saturday.

This week has gone by mighty fast. Possibly cause I work so damn much. It's going to be another 60-80+ hour work week. And next week is most likely going to be even higher.
Had a great time at Walmart with my Amanda the other night. I play a damn good "mentally handicap" "person". <- I like to be P.C. sometimes. We got some fun stares from shit I was asking. I only wanted a toothbrush. Scooby Dooby Dooo! ;p
Mowing is okay. I love working with my best friend. I'm tan, well farmers tan, but I'm a Iowa boy damn it. It doesn't get much better than that. On the other hand, my father wants me to run the company. I try to but he tries to intervene on almost any action I take. I'm sure some of the things I do make it look like I'm trying to punish or piss of my brother, but I'm not, I promise. My brother is a piece of shit though. For some reason I can't hit him. But this is fading, he'd better start watching his mouth or he's going to be a bloody mess, this I do promise. I hurt my arm today at work. On the poles that hold the power lines, there are anchors that have plastic infront of them. These anchors are made of a "shit ton" of large wires twisted together. My back wheel on my mower caught the anchor and I pulled away and it snagged even more and then SNAP! The fucking thing came full force into my arm. My hand was still tingling about 20 minutes afterwards. My arm still feels sore.
I got written up at American the other day. That was bullshit. I pulled some muscles in my back. The doctor wanted me to have two days off work to recuperate. I had a doctors note. I still got written up. They told me that the doctors note was just telling them I could return to "normal" duty. And there has to be 2 managers present while you are getting written up. So the new audio manager was there. He was telling me he had heard some really good things about me and they didn't want to lose me over something like this. Fuck off you don't know me! Besides the whole compliment thing, pretty sure they have to say that shit.
I have a "shit ton" of crested geckos. http://www.acreptiles.com/available.htm I own all of those. And more of his are on the way. I bought one at AnimaLink for my Amanda, and bought two more from Steve Hoch. I love these little guys they are beautfil and amazing. By next summer I will have an awesome breeding colony.
Anyways, Peace Out.

Damn it's late, or is it early? We got in to Yankton at about 4 am. Now you maybe wondering, did Chris get a new laptop or some shit? Is this why he is updating his live journal when he is 4 hours away? Well, fuck no I did not get a new laptop I'm sitting in the Holiday Inn Express's computer room waiting for the alarm in my mother's mini van to go off again. Yep, since we've been at the Holiday Inn Express I've spent most of my time in the lobby area making sure that the alarm stays off. It's gone off 4 times now, and of course never when I'm in the lobby. Always when I make it back up to my room, BOOM it goes off. I don't think it's going to go off again. I locked the doors but made sure that damned red light didn't come on in the dash stating that the alarm system is activated. Although, after I finish this journal entry go upstairs to my room the alarm will probably go off again.

I work a shit ton. Yes, a shit ton.
I mow in the morning and right after that I goto American to top my night off. And if I don't work at American we work all day and night mowing. So by the time I get home at night I've worked over 13 hours. Day in and day out. Yes, the money is great.
I don't get to see my Amanda that often though. At nights and if I come home to get ready for work or not. I miss her, a shit ton I do. Hopefully we will make it through some of these rough spots we are hitting. Cause I do love her. She is awesome.
Watson is moving to Colorado. Don't know what to think of this. Who knows if it will actually happen. It most likely will. He's got a lot if not most of it already planned out. Only time will tell.
I'm going to try to cook. I joined "The Good Cook" cook book club if they ever send me my damn books. I bought a really nice Fish and Shellfish cook book. This book is the shits, even teaches me more sushi techniques. Think I'll make a lobster and scallop meal on Thursday or Friday.
My Dad has been in Palm Springs all week for a business trip. He gets back today. We have a company meeting tonight. It probably won't be pretty. Cory (my little brother) isn't being a good worker. All hell is going to break loose tonight. On that note I just remembered that DJ has the company credit card.
Amanda and I are going up to Yankton in May. Going up Friday the 14th and leaving the 16th. *I love when I scratch my head and grass and various shit falls out.* I hope the rabbit show is going to be a good one. Last years wasn't bad, although the judges weren't the greatest.
Anyways. Thank you for reading. Until next time. Peace out.

THE ROBIN WILLIAMS PEACE PLAN
This may very well be the best thought out item we have read since 9/11/01. Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan ... what we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.
I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan.
1. The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past &present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Noriega, Milosovich and the rest of those good ol' boys: We will never "interfere" again.
2. We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one sneaking through holes in the fence.
3. All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.
4. All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.
5. No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" (for "deport") and it's back home baby.
6. The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non-polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.
7. Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)
8. If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides, most of what we give them is stolen or given to the Army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.
9. Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.
10. All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The language we speak is ENGLISH.....learn it...or LEAVE...
Now, ain't that a winner of a plan. The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying "Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses." She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, "You want a piece of me?"
